Society for Motivational Training & Action -SMTA, a non-governmental organization committed to improving health outcomes and promoting sustainable livelihoods in underserved communities. Our programs focus on areas such as HIV/AIDS prevention, rural development, watershed, Panchayati raj & water and sanitation. SMTA is implementing targeted intervention project for prevention of HIV/AIDS among high-risk population (FSW and MSM) in Vikas Nagar area of Dehradun with support of USACS & NACO.
Position Overview:
The Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Assistant cum Accountant will manage program, physical, and financial data to ensure quality reporting and performance monitoring. This role requires strong data management and analysis skills, as well as an understanding of financial processes. The M&E Assistant cum Accountant will work closely with the Project Manager, ensuring accurate data collection, analysis, and reporting in alignment with program goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring and Data Management:
- Maintain and computerize outreach, clinical, and project-level data on a daily basis.
- Conduct continuous analysis of data to produce analytical reports for weekly and monthly reviews.
- Track individual High-Risk Groups (HRG) to ensure they receive necessary project services.
- Identify and address potential data quality issues to enhance accuracy and reliability.
- Conduct field visits to ensure data quality and provide hands-on support to the outreach team on MIS formats.
- Liaise with State AIDS Control Society (USACS) and Technical Support Unit (TSU) teams for program performance reporting.
Financial and Administrative Support:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including preparation and submission of Statements of Expenditure (SOEs) to the Project Manager (PM) and Project Director (PD).
- Ensure financial data is up-to-date and aligned with program reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Graduation in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or Commerce.
- Training in basic computer software applications is required.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of work experience, including:
- Data management, monitoring and evaluation tools, data quality checks, analysis, and interpretation of program performance data.
- Financial record-keeping and account management.
- Experience in the health and social development sector (preferred).
Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficiency in computer data management and analysis software.
- Familiarity with government health policies and programs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in small, flexible teams and adapt to dynamic working conditions.

Compensation:
16000/- PM + TA (As per provisions under sanctioned budget & USACS/NACO Norms)
