Society for Motivational Training & Action -SMTA, a non-governmental organization committed to improving health outcomes and promoting sustainable livelihoods in underserved communities. Our programs focus on areas such as HIV/AIDS prevention, rural development, watershed, Panchayati raj & water and sanitation. SMTA is implementing targeted intervention project for prevention of HIV/AIDS among high-risk population (FSW and MSM) in Vikas Nagar area of Dehradun with support of USACS & NACO.
Position Overview:
The Project Manager will oversee the overall implementation and management of targeted intervention project in Vikas Nagar area. Working closely with State AIDS Control Societies (USACS), Technical Support Units (TSUs), and other stakeholders, the Project Manager will ensure the achievement of program deliverables. This role involves supervise and manage prevention activities, data analysis, team management, and extensive fieldwork to support program objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Management:
- Serve as the overall in-charge of the Targeted Intervention (TI) project and ensure adherence to DAC operational guidelines.
- Manage project deliverables to meet specified targets and outcomes.
- Conduct weekly review meetings and supervise the work of project staff.
- Travel to project areas/hotspots (10-15 days per month) to supervise field activities and ensure effective implementation.
- Maintain field visit records and provide actionable insights during project staff meetings.
Stakeholder Engagement and Advocacy:
- Liaise with government departments, SACS, and TSUs to align program activities with local policies and priorities.
- Build linkages with referral services and organize stakeholder meetings to enhance advocacy efforts.
- Assist in planning and executing advocacy and linkage activities in collaboration with the Project Director.
Team Development and Capacity Building:
- Organize in-house capacity-building sessions for staff to enhance project delivery capabilities.
- Assess staff capacity-building needs and communicate requirements to TSUs and SACS.
- Monitor and guide the team to achieve overall program objectives effectively.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze program data and prepare detailed monthly reports for review and submission to SACS.
- Monitor transit intervention activities where applicable and ensure accurate documentation.
- Evaluate project progress and develop need-based action plans for implementation.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Required:
- Postgraduate degree in Social Sciences (e.g., Sociology, Rural Development, Public Health) with at least 1 year of experience in district-level health, livelihood, rural development, microfinance, or HIV/AIDS programs.
- OR
- Graduate degree in Social Sciences with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the aforementioned areas.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong familiarity with government health policies and programs.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in small, flexible teams.
- Proficiency in data analysis, report writing, and case study development.
- Strong organizational and managerial skills to guide and monitor teams.
- Willingness to travel extensively for field visits (10-15 days per month).

Compensation:
Rs.21000/-PM +TA (As per provisions under sanctioned budget & USACS/NACO Norms )
